"Jim possesses an outstanding offensive mind and has a great feel for the game. He has done a tremendous job of working with our quarterbacks the last two years and did a fantastic job as a coordinator prior to coming to UCLA. I know our offense will continue to flourish under his supervision." This past season, senior quarterback Drew Olson, under Svoboda's guidance, had one of the finest seasons in UCLA history. He passed for 3,198 yards and a school-record 34 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He set a school record with 242 completions and his yardage ranked No. 2 in that category.
